Large Double rooms are luminous, south facing, with large traditional wooden doors opening onto the patio, as well as sliding windows. These rooms have a spacious seating area. We baptised them the “Mother Superior” rooms.

Suites are the grandest rooms of Convento. Their gilded bathroom, large draping curtains and translucent fabrics are worthy of bishops. The comfortable seating area is discreetly separated from the bedroom.

Rooftop cabins will touch the romantic in you. These two rooms preside over the Ria Formosa and are brushed by its cooling breezes. One of them (Ermelinda) has its own small private patio with outdoor seating, the other one (Natercia) has a sea view.

Only for those travelling light: you will find it impossible to carry large luggage up the narrow staircase.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• Children over thirteen welcome; for families with younger children please contact us for alternative accommodation.
• Convento has ceiling fans but no air conditioning. In summer the thick walls protect us (closing windows and shutters on hot days) and we use natural cross-ventilation at night and in the mornings. There is under floor heating on cold days.
• Convento has a narrow staircase and no lift. If you have mobility issues, do let us know and, when possible, we will choose a ground floor room for you.
• You are responsible in case of injury, damage or theft during your stay in Portugal. It is recommended to take a suitable travel insurance to cover your holidays.
• Prices include home-made breakfast with options like vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free... Please let us know your preference beforehand.
• Taxi pick-up/send-off: if service needed, please send us flight/train number and arrival/departure time. Fares: airport pick-up 50€/send-off 35€; Faro station pick-up or send-off 30€, paid to the driver.
• No pets, sorry.
• Please contact us to check conditions when booking more than 4 rooms.
PAYMENTS & CANCELLATIONS *
Payments:
• Bookings over a week before arrival: 30% deposit to secure the booking, balance before or on arrival.
• Bookings less than a week before arrival: 100% balance charged.

Cancellation fees (as % of total booking):
• Over 1 month before arrival date: no fees
• Between 1 month and 1 week before arrival date: 30%
• Less than 1 week before arrival date or no show: 100%
